  Chinking is another crucial part to the structure and comfort of your home as it is the sealant between each log which prevents water, wind, and insects from entering your log home. The products we use allows the logs to move and flex with the changes of the seasons. 

  With logs always expanding and contracting it is important to use products that bond correctly with the logs. The shifts and movements in the logs create checks, which are cracks in the log that absorb water. Allowing water to pool into the checks can result in log rot. This can be stopped by applying a colour matched caulking into the unprotected checks.
